Conclusions From Data Analysis
Gravitational potential energy (GPE) is very important in the overall design of the coaster. Each coaster must have a hill tall enough to produce enough kinetic energy so that the coaster travels the entire length of the track. The team had to consider the amount of GPE which was converted to friction as the coaster traveled the length of the track. All hills after the GPE hill must be lower because of the amount of energy converted to friction.
Force were also a consideration for maintaining the coaster on the track and providing a safe ride. G-forces were kept to less than 2Gs (two times the normal force of gravity) so health effects are minimized.

The team recommends the Executive Board vote to build the coaster as a new attraction for the upcoming 2014 season. Not only will the simple design provide maximum thrills in a safe environment, the production costs & construction timeline will be reduced.
